- Test firing pumps by flowing water out of the test header and operating fire pumps at 100 percent and 150 percent of rated capacity
- Checking jockey pump and fire pump pressure settings
- Making sure the FACP monitors pump running and power failure
- Testing the automatic transfer switch on the fire pump controller, if applicable
